I agree with flickman---as a simpler example take this: the name on your mailbox (if you have one which we do) says Putches--or --Prutch's along with your address. Is the postman to assume all the Pruthces in that area recieve their mail in that box.
Your family member was wrong and is still wrong to this day. If you are having trouble with not speaking to this family member make an attempt (assuming that you have not) to expalin in this manner. If they still do not want to understand move on.
RE: Running from a hurricane with the 5er
All great information. I work a 28/28 schedule and there have been times I was not home and the DW and kids had to fend for themselves. Kids are much older now and they help DW as much as possible but they all have families too. We have almost always tried to get a space for the 5er up North La. for a few months so DW can just leave home and drive to wherever we are set up. Once in the past few years we waited too long and were unable to find a space within a respective distance. That time I told her I told her to leave the 5er and head to safety. The last thing you want to do is be pulling a 5er in bumper to bumper hurricane evac traffic. The 5er can be replaced not a life. Just use your judgement and as others have said LEAVE EARLY.

Sure have heard of it-----Just replaced turbo on truck in sig. Yeah under warranty, but it sure has me wondering. Mech. said "maybe it isn't worked hard enough". I have never babied any of the five diesels I have owned. So the plan is to drive it like I stole it as long as it is in warranty!!!
